Just received my son's custom cape which I ordered for him for Christmas. I was sooo excited to get it that I couldn't help but be a little disappointed when I opened the package. The workmanship was not as good as I expected it to be. The stitching around the emblem is uneven and looks sloppy. I was also disappointed due to the fact that I customized the cape and while going through the process the image displays with black thread used as stitching; however, when it arrived the stitching was a light blue color (that really threw off the look I was going for). So beware of that if you are customizing. Once I got over my initial disappointment, I realized the most important thing is that he is going to flip out with excitement when he finds this under the tree on Christmas morning!

My son just received one of your sidekick custom capes and masks and I have to say he is the most elated 3 year old I know. He has been in his glory since it arrived. We had someone make him one last year which was lined etc and honestly he has never asked about it. It cost a fortune. We were very excited when it arrived in the mail. I couldn't get over the awesome quality. This is going to be around for a long time (unlike the ones you buy at stores around Halloween time). Another nice feature is that this one has a Velcro closure versus the typical tie ones that the stores used to carry, you were only looking for trouble tying things around a kid's neck. The velcro holds well too. My son and I also like how silky the fabric is that they used to make the capes.

I ordered/created a black personalizedsuperhero cape, with a blue circle and a bright yellow A on the back, for my son Aiden who is the biggest batman fan (hints the black yellow and blue)! I love the way you can customize these capes. My twins like wearing them! My only issue is that the very first time wearing them, one velcro piece got stuck on the fabric and caused a long run in the fabric. No hole formed but it is a very visible snag line. Kinda a bummer to have happened so quickly.

I surely hope all of these other reviews are right and that this flimsy piece of material I hold in my hand will stand up to a rambunctious soon-to-be-three-year-old! I thought I was ordering a substantial cape, but instead got a single piece of satin (not lined or anything) with the emblem on it. I was shocked when it came in the mail because I thought I was opening the mask package and that the cape must have been shipped separately, because there was no way that both items would fit in such a small package - boy was I wrong!! Thankfully, I didn't buy these at full price since I used a "deal of the day" site coupon. I get the feeling my little guy will be using the cape I got him last year at Cracker Barrel more often.

My 3 children each have a custom superhero cape. Over the past year and a half, they all have held up extremely well. They also were delighted to eventually add the blaster cuffs to complete the costumes. The best part is that they each designed their own capes and were able to add their first initial, so each cape was uniquely their own.

I had heard about this company through friends and fellow bloggers, and they just raved about it. So, I had to try it out for myself and see what it was all about. From the start, I found it easy to place my order for a "Ready Made" cape. The only difficult thing was choosing from the large assortment of capes. They offer emblem capes and initial capes, each with varying colors to choose from. I ended up choosing an initial cape with the letter "S" for Savannah and then had to decide on the emblem in which the letter would be added to. Again, this was the only hard part about the order.

Within 3 days I had received the "Ready Made" Power Cape in the mail and was ready to see what my daughter looked like as a super hero. It will be a short time before she grows into it, but I ended up pinning it to keep it off the ground. I thought she looked cute in her little superhero cape. We had the chance to review a cape from Power Capes. I must say I almost enjoyed the process of making the cape more than receiving it. You get to pick a size, then color, next you chose (if you want) what shape you want on the cape and its color. You can then add a letter on top of that shape. Our cape as you can see is orange with a lightening bolt and a "K" for Kaidin. My son absolutely loved this, he is my more imaginative child and was perfect for this. Now he rescues lot of things, mostly his cars from his younger brother. He loves that it flows behind him ("look mom, look"). The material is a satin type material and appears well sewn together. The colors was wonderfully vibrant, he would stand out anywhere as a super hero. There are 11 cape colors, 8 shapes and 29 colors for that, think of the possibilities.

I was sent a personalized super hero cape in sidekick size. I chose a pink cape with a glittery black crown, with a glittery red "I". The cape is so shiny, and it beamed smoothness. While Isabella is a bit too small to wear one of these without falling, I can't wait to give this to her for a future gift. I did try it out on her, but she wasn't feeling it. Hey, what do you expect from a 14 month old? The colors are so vivid! I'm in love with the crown, as well. Her nursery has never really looked like a nursery. It's always looked like a little girl's room. Her room is Disney Princess themed, and I wanted something to match that. Using the website was very easy! I had no struggle whatsoever. You just chose your desired cape color, your emblem, and your initial. I've seen Power Capes on many blogs, but I didn't realize that they had glittery colors. Glitter isn't welcome in some homes...but in this one, it is! My son was so excited when we received his cape in the mail. He pulled out the shiny blue cape with a big bold 'A' on the back and immediately wanted to wear it. I loved the light-weight, soft, silky material and quality stitching. Plus, the velcro tab is strong enough to stay attached, but easy enough to pull off so it isn't a safety hazard. And he loved that he was able to take it off and on all by himself.

Every kid goes through a superhero phase, don’t they? I did. I used to run around with a blanket around my neck. My niece and nephew are both at this age right now. The Custom Cape with Emblem and Initial was so fun to pick out and create on the Powercapes site! First, I decided to make Riley's cape in some of her favorite colors, but to still make it look like Superman's cape by using the Super Shield emblem. There were so many different colors to choose from! They actually carry eleven different colors for just the cape alone! When it came to picking out the colors for the emblem as well as the initial, I was delighted to find that they even carry sparkly options, so as to add that special "eye-catching" touch. We love the custom cape that my oldest son got a year ago! He still uses it to this day and he likes to pretend that he's flying around. The quality is superb and I love how you can customize the cape to fit your child's personality. No ho drum cape for my boy!

My Rowan loves to dress up in costume. He really is quite a ham! We even put him in acting classes last fall at our local Young People’s Theater. He was super excited when PowerCapes offered me a review of one of their spectacular Superhero capes.

Recently I received a custom superhero cape from PowerCapes. Ordering my cape was easy- I just picked my cape size, emblem, colors and letter and shortly after that, my daughter's personalized cape showed up at my house! The cape that I received is the sidekick size (22 inches). It's made of satin, for true superhero shine! I was impressed by how well the cape is made-there are no rough edges and all of the stitching is even and strong. The closure on the cape is velcro, and I was also really happy with this. The velcro is strong enough to stay on when my daughter is running around, but not so strong that it could be a choking hazard.

My only complaint about my daughter's cape is that it's so cute that I'm going to have to buy a personalized cape for my son as well! I can't have an imbalance of superhero capes in my house :)

Just in case you were thinking "hmmmmmm....is this worth the money?" Stop wasting your time with silly questions! This is the best cape out there. We bought one of these for our daughter for her second birthday and she has yet to miss a day of play with it. It is a perfect accessory for any type of play time. The thing I love so much about this as a mom is that it is so safe for her to use at play time, this one unlike most capes out there has velcro to attach itself around her neck so it takes the fear out of her playing with it and taking it with her to her room for naps. I bought these for my nieces who have so many toys I hate buying them more. But I'm tired of being the boring aunt who gives books. They opened tehse up and ran around like crazy people. My gift actually beat out the Zoobles tehy'd been whining about to get from Santa for months. they played with the Zoobles with their capes on! Long term durability, I can't say, but held up really for the entire day they had them on. The stitching was really nice, the velcro clasp didn't rub their necks, so overall, very nice!

My first impression when I opened my package was “WOW, I want one”. The stitching is done really well and they sewed up our cape with pretty rainbow thread. The fabric feels nice and silky and is thick/high quality. You think superhero when you look at it.
